Driver fined 2m cedis for traffic offence

Tema, March 22, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’ has fined a taxi driver two million cedis or in default serve three months jail term for driving on the shoulders of the road.

Michael Assem, who was convicted on his own plea, was arrested, arraigned and fined the same day.

The court presided over by Mr Nicholas Abodakpi heard that on March 21, Assem was arrested by a police officer driving on the shoulders of the road at Ashaiman to avoid traffic.
