Driver fined 1.5 million cedis

Asamankese, Oct 05, GNA – Alhassan Kadriel, a driver whose vehicle did not have a valid insurance certificate or a roadworthiness certificate, had been fined 1.5 million cedis by the Asamankese Circuit Court on Monday.

Failure to pay the fine Kadriel, who pleaded guilty, would be imprisoned for six months in hard labour. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Eric Okyere said on September 19, police found that Kadriel’s insurance certificate had expired on September 15 and while the road worthiness certificate had expired on September 16.
