Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom And Facebook Fans

PRESS RELEASE
Face-To-Face Meetup #1: Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom And Facebook Fans

From 6.30pm to 8.00 pm today, Wednesday, March 2nd something new and different involving the youth will happen in Ghana. Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has put out a call to those among the thousands of fans in Ghana on his Facebook Fan Page who are in Accra and can make it, to meet him for a face-to-face exchange of ideas. His view is that, the youth must make themselves agents of change and that the time is NOW! He says that it is not political as he out to give appropriate motivation and a positive platform for the youth in Ghana to express themselves and gain encouragement to find out how good they can be.
Today is the day to start that change. In such a noble enterprise,he intends to use technology to reachout to the masses of the people, most importantly the youth, to encourage them to take hold of their destiny and manage it consciously for the betterment of themselves and our nation Ghana.
According to Dr. Nduom:
“We have embarked on a journey and we are NOT turning back. It is all about you, the young men and women who I want to encourage to grab hold of your future. You must do it with KNOWLEDGE about the things that matter. You must do it by not selling your conscience or your support to the highest bidder. You must volunteer, sacrifice something to gain your economic freedom in your own country …we will talk about OIL & GAS as a main topic. We need to unveil what is going on and what can be done to make oil and gas something very positive for all of our people. At the same time, we will not forget the fact that there alternative and renewable sources of energy. We have abundant sun. What can we do with it in Ghana?
For those of you in Kumasi, Takoradi, Cape Coast, etc. we will allow some time to read your comments and contributions from 7.15 to 7.30 pm. We will have someone keep you informed about what is going on online.
We will also discuss tomorrow how I want YOU to OWN this thing we have started. You should not wait for anyone. You must not allow anyone to tell you what to do. I want to start you on the path to self-determination.
An important thought. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if out of this process, at least 10 young people were able to get to Parliament to give a strong voice to the youth when it opens for business in 2013? Think about it! Wouldn’t it be great if in 12 -24 years someone who volunteers now became the PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA? It would be fantastic if we have future business and professional leaders in our midst? Whatever you wish for yourself, I want to encourage you to work to achieve it.
Remember, this is not meant for Accra alone. If you can organise it, soon, I can be in Tamale, Cape Coast, Sunyani, Kumasi, Takoradi, etc. It is all in your hands!”
