DR. LIMANN IS DEAD

Accra (Greater Accra Region ) 24, January 1998 Dr. Hilla Limann, former Head of State and President of the third republic, died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Friday morning, according to a government statement issued in Accra.

Dr.. Limann was president of the third republic from 1979 to 1981. The statement issued by the Ministry of Communications on behalf of government said Dr. Limann had been hospitalized for a few weeks with heart-related problems.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later, the statement added. Any previous announcement on burial arrangements is incorrect and must be disregarded. Gri
