Dr Klufio discharged from Hospital

Accra, Aug. 30, GNA – Dr George Klufio, an Urologist, who survived a fatal accident at the weekend in which his three colleagues died, was discharged from hospital on Tuesday.

This was announced by Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng, the Chief Executive of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra.

Prof Frimpong Boateng told the GNA Dr Klufio was doing very well and was, therefore, discharged from the Hospital to enable him to enjoy a good rest at home.

The driver of the accident vehicle was discharged on Monday. Professor J.M.K. Quartey, Dr Isaac Bentsi and Dr Benjamin Osei-Wiafe died in the motor accident last Saturday on the Bunso-Apedwa stretch of the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The three were part of a medical team returning from an outreach programme at the Sunyani General Hospital.
