Dorman citizen donates cement to Assembly

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Nov. 14, GNA – Mr Kwabena Badu, a London-based citizen of Dormaa Ahenkro has donated 166 bags of cement worth GHC 1,276 to the Dormaa Municipal Assembly.

Mr Badu told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that he was overwhelmed by the level of development in Dormaa, when he returned from London after ten years.

Presenting the package, Mr Badu hailed the government’s fair distribution of development projects and said the gesture was his “widow’s mite” in appreciation.

He commended Ghanaians for choosing the path of multi-party democracy, which he said had exposed the country favourable to the outside world.

Mr Badu urged Ghanaians to safeguard the relative peace in the country even in expressing divergence on pertinent political issues. Mr Barclays Asamoah Yeboah, Assembly Member for Dormaa-Ahenkro central, who received the package on behalf of the assembly, thanked Mr Badu and appealed to other Dormaa citizens to emulate him.
