Dormaa Poultry Farmers ask for license to import yellow corn

Dormaa Ahenkro (B/A) Feb. 28, GNA – Members of the Dormaa Modern Poultry Farmers Marketing Association, have appealed to the government to grant members the license to import yellow corn to facilitate their business.

A resolution adopted by the Association at a meeting at Dormaa Ahenkro said importation of yellow corn would keep them in business since the Region is faced with serious shortage of maize. “The government who remains our ultimate hope should therefore act without hesitation to keep us and our workers in business,” the resolution said.

The farmers said their sources of maize supply were getting depleted and facing increase difficulty in catering for the over 1.4 million birds stock in the Region.
