Dormaa-Ahenkro NGO donates towards Library, FM station

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), Sept. 2, GNA – Global Patriots Consolidation (GLOPAL), a non-governmental organization at Dormaa-Ahenkro, has donated items valued at 5.3 million cedis to the Dormaa District Library and the Dormaa F.M. Station.

It gave the library a colour television set, two video decks and a television stand, and a double deck cassette recorder to the F.M. station.

Mr Gordon Asubonteng, Executive Director of GLOPAC, who made the presentation said individuals, churches and institutions made the donation possible through contributions.

He said it was the objective of the organization to help raise the level of education in the district hence the donation.

Mr. Asubonteng recalled that two years ago, GLOPAC made a similar donation of 12 dustbins to the Dormaa District Assembly as its contribution to the improvement of sanitation in the area. Mr Kwaku Baffour Asare, librarian in-charge of the Dormaa District who received the gift thanked the donor and called on churches, individuals and organizations to also donate generously to uplift education in the district.
