Don’t vote for ‘thieves’ – IC Quaye

Ghanaians must ensure that they do not vote for “thieves” in the 7 December elections, former Greater Accra Regional Minister Sheik I.C. Quaye has said.

The former Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, who was speaking to New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters at Alajo in the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday October 5, charged the electorate to vote for a president who was credible.

Speaking in Ga at the campaign tour of the party’s flag bearer Nana Akufo-Addo, Sheikh Quaye, without making reference to any party or politicians, pointed out that the “thieves” should not be given another opportunity to govern the country.

The main opponent of the three-time presidential aspirant of the NPP is President John Dramani Mahama, who is leading the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to secure another term in office.

Mr Quaye stated: “As for the thieves, we will not give them the mandate anymore.”

He urged the electorate to vote for a president with vision, who can turn the fortunes of the country around and spur development.
