Abura-Dunkwa (C/R), Feb. 5, GNA – The Bishop of Cape Coast Diocese of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Right Reverend Isaac K. Quansah, at the weekend cautioned Ghanaians not to use working hours to attend worship and prayers camps.
He said there was nothing wrong to pray for social and economic progress, but such prayer meetings should not affect productivity and the official hours stipulated by the various state institutions, establishments and other organizations.
Rt. Rev. Quansah was laying the foundation for the construction of a new Manse for the Wesley Methodist Church at Abura-Dunkwa. He condemned the use of official time for prayers and ‘all night’ services instead, saying these hours were supposed to be used for hard work to secure means for basic livelihood.
Rt. Rev. Quansah advised Ghanaians to be careful of false prophets. “Do not put your trust and confidence in people who claim to exercise supernatural powers which could help you to become rich overnight.”
