Don’t undermine your cultural heritage – Oguaamanhene

The Paramount Chief of Cape Coast, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II has called on Ghanaians especially students to value and uphold their cultural heritage.

According to the Omanhene, for the country to develop and be a beacon of hope for others, there will be the need for Ghanaians to protect, promote and defend their culture.

He indicates, it is erroneous to believe that the culture of the African is heathen.

The traditional ruler feared that if the cultural heritage of the country is not protected, there will be nothing left to pride one’s self with as a Ghanaian.

Osabarima Kwesi Atta gave the advise at the 30th Anniversary and 17th Speech and Prize Giving Day of the University Cape Coast Junior high school in Cape Coast.

He believes the identity of Ghanaians can only be reflective within the cultural values of the country.

According to him, If the youth don’t learn their culture, they will end up losing their rich identity.

He also urged students to take their studies seriously in order to have a meaningful future.
