Don’t turn prayer camps into hospitals- Clergyman

Kumasi, Nov. 12, GNA- A clergyman has expressed concern about the gradual conversion of prayer camps into health centres and hospitals. Reverend Joseph Gyimah, leader of the True Light of Christ Church, who expressed this concern, noted that prayer camps were supposed to be places where people apart from praying for salvation, could commune with their Creator in peace.

Preaching at an annual thanksgiving service of the church at Abrepo in Kumasi on Tuesday, he advised operators of prayer camps to refer the sick to hospitals after praying for them for the necessary treatment. Rev. Gyimah also called on Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to enforce their regulations on the establishment of churches particularly at residential areas.
