Don’t take Kalyppo to polling stations – NCCE warns

The Ashanti Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Mr. Alhassan Yakubu has appealed to Ghanaians to desist from taking Kalyppo fruit juice which has become politically tainted to polling stations during December 7 polls.

According to him, this could spark political violence which could mar the electoral processes and derail the nation’s democratic gains.

Speaking during a public sensitisation programme in Kumasi he further warned that anything with political colouration would not be entertained at the polling stations and therefore, advised against it.

Meisu Livingstone reported that Yakubu charged election stakeholders to conduct their campaigns devoid of personal attacks and innuendos which could be a recipe for disaster and chaos.

‘The political parties must educate their teeming supporters on the processes of voting and explained their manifestoes to the electorate,’ he advised.

The kalyppo fever took turns when a picture of the presidential nominee of NPP Nana Addo went viral on social media.
