Don’t take Amoako Baah serious – George Lawson

A deputy general secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Lawson has thrown salvos at Dr. Richard Amoako Baah describing him as someone who is not ‘correct’ and ‘abnormal’.

According to him, he does not see him to be a “normal person” neither does he qualify to be a political science lecturer because he is politically bias.

“Don’t take that Dr. serious. He is not correct. He is a politician and not a political scientist- and I don’t even know where he got his political scientist from. If you are a political scientist and you are called; you are supposed to give an expert advice and not to wear a political lens,” George Lawson said.

George Lawson’s attacks on the political science lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) follows his (Dr. Amoako Baah’s) description of the Mahama led administration as ‘’Alibaba and the 40 thieves’’.

According to Dr. Richard Amoako Baah the NDC is running the state abysmally and has, therefore, called on Ghanaians to take back the country from “Alibaba and the 40 thieves”, by voting them out of office.

Dr. Richard Amoako Baah who spoke at the just ended National Democratic Party’s (NDP’s) Delegates Congress, said government has been lying with statistics making its projections wrong.

However, in response to the statements by the political science lecturer, George Lawson said government’s projects are not an allusion but a fact and evidence based.

Mr. Lawson said every single project undertaken by government is in the communities for everyone to see and not in the air.

George Lawson called on Dr. Amoako Baah to account for the recent fundraising he organised for the NPP and stop attacking the NDC just to score political points.

“I don’t take that man to be serious because I don’t see him to be correct and normal,” he stressed.

According to him, Dr. Baah was only making an illusion and, therefore, he called on Ghanaians to treat his statement with the contempt it deserves.

He opined that, the best thing one can do when making statements to counter government’s statistics, is to present an evidence and not just make ridiculous statements which are unfounded and baseless.

George Lawson speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu said government’s achievement are unparalleled.
