Don’t resort to public criticisms – Kufuor tells NPP

The ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor has admonished supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to resort to public criticisms.

He advised them to render their criticisms indoors when they are aggrieved instead of going public.

The former President further entreated NPP members not to conduct themselves in ways that will destabilise the party.

He believes that media banter among party members will only drag the name of the party in the mud.

“…In the short term, I want to entreat each and every one of us not to and let me repeat, not to say or do anything or conduct ourselves in any way that will rock (destabilise) this young government. If you do that, you are not just seeing the vision in which the party was founded. If you have any criticisms, please render the criticisms indoors.

You don’t wash dirty linen in public, that is an old adage” he advised during the party’s Annual Delegates’ Conference ongoing in Cape Coast of the Central Region.

He indicated that the party has a DNA to deliver on its promises to Ghanaians.

‘The other message I want to impart here is that this party has got a DNA to discharge a duty for Ghana. Its taking us quite a long time for us to come to government, now that we have it and there is so much to do.

‘Unfortunately, the term of office is so short, we must keep on winning perhaps three, four or five times, before the roots will go deep and we become the party of the nation, we have a duty,’ he said.

He suggested that people helping build the party in the backrooms need to be paid well to help them strategise for the party.
