Dont Politicize My Father’s Funeral-Mankatta

The defeated NPP candidate in the Odododiodoo Parliamentary bye-election Mr Lenox Asafotse Mankatta has advised the National Democratic Congress to refrain from politicizing the funeral of his late father Mr. Samuel Mankatta scheduled for the 24th of this month. According to him, even though his father was a member of the NDC, he represented every body in the constituency so he does not expert the NDC to do politics with the event.

Lenox Mankatta told Kapital Radio that he would play his role as a son and therefore wish that the various parties and institutions to mourn with them devoid of politicking.

Lenox Mankatta who lost to the NDC?s Nii Tackey Commey in last week?s by-election dismissed assertions that he has been abandoned by the NPP after his failure to clinch the seat for his party. He disclosed that he is in constant touch with the top brass of his party.
