Don’t deal with unscrupulous persons – GNFS

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has advised the public against dealing with any person claiming to be recruiting on behalf of the Service.

It said the management of the Service has no intention of recruiting personnel into the Service at the moment, however, “if the time is due for recruitment the public shall be informed for interested persons to apply.

An official statement issued by the GNFS and copied the Ghana News Agency said it has come to their notice that some unscrupulous persons are sending text messages to unsuspecting members of the public purporting to recruit them into the Ghana national Fire Service.

According to the statement such text message reads “You have been bio-metrically selected among 300 others for recruitment in the Ghana National Fire Service, keep stay tuned for further information”.

“The management of the Ghana National Fire Service wishes to inform the general public that recruitment into the Service is done transparently and openly through advertisement in the Media; purchase of forms; invitation of qualified persons for body selection and examination; and medical screening,” it added.
