Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has revealed he is still single because he struggles with the idea of being faithful to one woman, choosing instead to remain open about his limitations in relationships.
Speaking on The Nancy Isime Show, the Mavin Records boss confessed, “I don’t believe that I am strong enough to be with only one person.” According to him, monogamy does not come naturally, and pretending otherwise would only lead to disappointment.
“The fact that you’re a beautiful lady doesn’t stop me from admiring another woman,” he said, explaining why he avoids giving romantic partners false hope. “I will not be dating you and telling you that you’re the only person.”
The 42-year-old producer, born Michael Collins Ajereh, has long kept details of his love life under wraps. In a rare disclosure in 2021, he shared that he had once been married at 20, but the union lasted only two years. He blamed the breakdown on prioritising his music career above all else.
Despite his bachelor status, Don Jazzy frequently amuses his fans with light-hearted social media posts about his celebrity crushes, including global pop star Rihanna and Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa. But when it comes to commitment, he has remained sceptical.
“I enjoy my freedom,” he has previously said—sentiments echoed in this latest interview, where he admitted that his fear of failing a partner keeps him from settling down.
