Domestic Airlines flay Aviance, AHS over poor services

Domestic Airlines are unhappy with ground handling services being provided by Ghana Airport Company Limited.

The airport Company Limited directed domestic airline operators to handover their ground handling operations at all airports to private companies Aviance Ghana Limited and AHS Menzies.

But the domestic airline operators are complaining about delays in the execution of these services.

Chief Executive officer of Starbow James Antwi told Starr Business the conduct of the two companies are creating discomfort for them.

“We were doing self-handling which was much cheaper and convenient but with the introduction of Aviance into the system we are having to cope with some delays and the standards are not good but it’s the Ghana Airport company’s instruction that we stop the self-handling.

“We have complied but we are expecting that those who took over will do a good job than what existed earlier,” he explained.
