Dome- Kwabenya aspiring candidate for NPP submits form

Accra, March 18, GNA – The aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Dome/Kwabenya, Mr Mike Nii Nortey Oquaye, a legal practitioner on Friday presented his nomination forms to the Constituency Chairman, Mr Moses Osei Forjour. Mr Oquaye is contesting the seat with Ms Adwoa Safo, also a lawyer and one Mr Robert Osei Bonsu.

The aspiring parliamentary candidate said he has been a member of the NPP since 1992, adding 93as long as God Almighty gives me breath, I will continue to dedicate my time and energy to the New Patriotic Party”.

Mr Oquaye expressed confidence that he was winning the contest hands down but promised that he would throw his weight behind any candidate who defeated him.

He said the aim of the race was to choose the best candidate to win the 2012 general election for the NPP in the constituency. “The motive of this election is to select someone who has shown experience by tract record in election matters which includes, campaigning from house to house where issues would need deep explanation to constituents.” 18 March 11
