Dog chews off 9-year-old boy’s mouth

A 9-year-old boy’s attempt to retrieve his ball from a house at Madina near Hannah Preparatory School turned bloody as a wild dog pounced on him and chew off his mouth.

It took the intervention of passer-byes to rescue the boy (name withheld) from being harmed further.

An eyewitness Kofi Nyarko told Onua FM’s Ghana Dadwene that the boy is a pupil of Madina Presbyterian School who had closed from school and was returning home.

The witness said the boy was playing football with his colleagues on their way home when the ball bounced into a nearby house.

Kofi Nyarko explained that the school boy jumped the wall into the house to retrieve the ball but the moment he landed into the house, the wild dog jumped on him and started biting him.

The witness said the boy started shouting for help and some passer-byes also jumped into house to save the little boy.

Unfortunately, after the rescue mission, the dog had torn off the boy’s school uniform and chopped off the mouth. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
