Doctors hint of another strike if…

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) is hinting of another strike soon if nothing is done to resolve their concerns.

According to the president of the association, Dr. Kwabena Adusei Opoku, if the government fails to address their concerns about restoring and paying their conversion difference as agreed in their last meeting to call of their long strike, the doctors will resume their strike.

The association wants the clergy, the council of state and all Ghanaians to put pressure on the government to fulfill its part of the agreement within the one month duration given by the National Labour Commission (NLC).

GMA President, Dr. Opoku Adusei, told Joy News the posture of Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) is worrisome and gives an indication to the doctors that their concerns might never be addressed.

According to him, they are faced with the option of embarking on another strike if the FWSC does not help resolve their challenges.
