The nomination of Mr. Alexander Gyan for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kintampo South has received condemnation from a cross section of the community, mostly victims of the various microfinance firms including DKM and God is Love.
The scam victims see Mr. Gyan’s appointment as very disrespectful since he (Gyan) was a branch manager of God is Love, an unregistered microfinance company that robbed thousands of people in the Brong Ahafo Region of their hard earned money.
One of the residents of Kintampo who could not hold his anger questioned why President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will nominate Mr. Gyan as the DCE for Kintampo South since they were made to believe during the electioneering campaign that NDC gurus were behind the operations of DKM and God is Love Micro Finance companies.
Speaking in an interview with some journalists in Kintampo, Tuesday, the scam victim who failed to disclose his identity said Mr. Gyan’s nomination by the President is an endorsement of fraud which has left them depressed and exposed the lies of the NPP.
To prevent any unrest in the coming days, the residents want Mr. Gyan’s nomination withdrawn.
