District plans measures for increases revenue

Drobo (B/A) June 24, GNA – Jaman South District Assembly and staff are planning measures to mobilise more revenue to be able to meet future revenue targets.

This came to light during a two-day ordinary meeting of the Assembly on Thursday at Drobo in Brong Ahafo. The Assembly failed to meet the target by 34 million cedis during the first quarter of the year 2006. Only 92 million cedis was realized as total revenue mobilized for the quarter, out of 126 million cedis targeted. The Assembly Members expressed grave concern about the situation and expressed their determination to work hard to improve revenue generation.

Delivering his sessional address, Mr. Apraku Tannor, District Chief Executive for Jaman South, announced that the mass spraying cocoa exercise would recommence in the first week of July, this year. 24 June 06
