District Governor of Lions Club arrives

Accra, Feb. 7, GNA – Madam Suzan Boyer, District Governor of the Lions Club, arrived in the country on Monday to begin a 10-day official visit during which she would tour all the 12 clubs of the organisation. In an interview with the GNA, Madam Boyer, who is paying her first visit to Ghana, said each year governors of all the Districts of the Lions Club are to visit at least 15 countries within the districts to assess their needs and what help they could offer to them.

She said this year the emphasis of the visit was to foster stronger bonds between the various units of the Club and the communities in which they are through offering of assistance according to the needs of the country.

Ghana falls within District 403A of the Club. It is one of 15 West African countries, which fall within the district.
