District Assembly rehabilitates Kade District Police Offices

Kade, Aug 20, GNA – The Kade District Police Headquarters, which is in deplorable state, is being given a facelift.

The Kwaebibirem District Chief Executive, Mr George Agyemang Duah, told a meeting of the district assembly that the assembly was partnering with the Police Administration in 50-50 percent cost sharing to rehabilitate the offices and construct additional ones.

He said the rehabilitation work was almost complete whilst construction of the additional offices had started.

The total sum for the rehabilitation and extension was GHC 78,790.09, which the assembly was expected to contribute 50 percent of the total cost of the two projects that was estimated at GHC 39,395.04.

Mr Duah said the assembly, through its own resources, had rehabilitated duty post bungalows of Akwatia and Kade District police Commanders.

The District Magistrate’s court had also been given a facelift, he added.
