District assembly presented items to health institutions

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Nov. 6, GNA – The Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly has presented items costing 70 million cedis to the District Health Directorate for distribution to health institutions in the district.

The items are 15 hospital beds, 15 mattresses, 10 bed sheets, 20 walking Aids, 30 crutches, 2 Canibo, 4 trolleys, eight chairs, two drip stands and 1 wheel chair. Some of the health institutions that will benefit are the Odoben Health Centre, Brakwa Health Centre, Amanfopong Health Centre and Aweeamu Health Centre.

The District Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Adjei Domson and Mr. Paul C. Appiah Ofori, the Member of Parliament, presented the items on behalf of the assembly to the directorate. They said the assembly would continue to assist individuals who contribute to improving the living standards of the people. They appealed to those who have not registered with the National Insurance Scheme to do so.

Dr Luiz Amoussou, District Director of Health Services who received the items, thanked the assembly.
