District assembly election ends at Yendi

Yendi, Aug. 11, GNA- Counting of ballot papers of the just ended district assembly and unit committee elections at Yendi is on-going at the various polling stations.

In all, turn-out was highly disappointing, but the only consolation is that the elections have ended peacefully. One issue that had came out clearly was that enthusiasm of the electorate towards the district and unit committee elections is eroding fast.

The Northern Regional Minister Alhaji Abubakarl Sadik Boniface was in Yendi and toured some of the polling stations.
