Disregard messages on [email protected] -GJA

Accra, July 13, GNA – The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Monday asked the public to disregard any message or request by anyone using the e-mail address, [email protected].

A statement to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, and signed by Mr Bright Blew, General Secretary of the GJA said someone had hacked the e-mail belonging to him, claiming that he (Blew) was stranded in the Philippines and was requesting that $1,500 be transferred to him to enable him to travel back to Ghana.

The statement said the hacker had successfully taken over the e-mail address, and was suspected to be using it to engage in fraud in the name of the GJA.
