Dislodged Abofu footbridge fixed

Authorities have moved to fix the dislodged Abofu footbridge months after social media campaign and media publications.

The Abofu footbridge just after Achimota junction on N1 Highway which was officially opened to motorists in February 2012, developed serious cracks.

Pavement blocks used in constructing the bridge were seen coming out as the metal used to hold the railings at the top of the bridge got separated leaving a gaping hole in the footbridge.
