Disciplinary Committee To Come Out With Complaint Form

The disciplinary and ethics committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) is to come out with a complaints form for people aggrieved by media publications to express their misgivings. Announcing this at a seminar on “media ethics” at Sunyani Mr.. Isaac Fritz Andoh, Vice Chairman of the disciplinary and ethics committee, said the form touches on all aspects of the 17 article GJA code of ethics. The next task for the committee is to formulate procedures for lodging and handling complaints. Mr.. Andoh, former supervising chief editor of the Ghana News Agency, was speaking on “enforcing the GJA. He said rules are necessary for the effective administration of any society, Organisation or body, adding that ethical standards are needed in all professions.
