‘Disciplinary Committee hasn’t invited Afoko’

Spokesperson for NPP national chairman, Nana Yaw Osei has denied claims that his boss has refused to honour an invitation by the disciplinary committee of the party.

The Daily Guide newspaper today reported that Paul Afoko snubbed the disciplinary committee after he was invited following a petition for him to step aside by the party’s Council of Elders.

The Council is blaming Afoko for the confusion and internal wrangling that has hit the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.

But speaking to Fifi Banson on Kasapa FM Thursday, Osei said no invitation has been extended to the embattled chairman.

“I am a member of the disciplinary committee, and I can say for a fact that no invitation has been extended to him.

“Nobody has invited him or written to him over anything. If there was anything like that, I would be the first to know so Daily Guide must stop publishing things like that about him,” he stated.
