Accra, March 24, GNA – The management of Students’ Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) on Tuesday said it had begun the disbursement of second semester loans to continuing students for 2008/2009 academic year. A statement issued in Accra by SLTF said it had directed all banks to credit the accounts of students as a matter of urgency and expected students to receive their loans through their respective banks from Wednesday, March 25.
It said, “The paying bank of SLTF has been instructed to effect these payments to the respective recipient banks”. The statement urged all continuing students to check their names on the list provided at the SLTF campus and zonal offices, while processing of loan applications continued. “The SLTF regrets the delay in disbursement which was due to circumstances beyond its control,” it added. 24 March 09
