Director calls on stakeholders to help improve education

New Edubiase (Ash), Dec 31, GNA- Mr N. Twumasi-Amponsah, the Adansi East District Director of Education, has appealed to School Management Committees (SMCS) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in the district to cooperate with other stakeholders to improve upon the standard of education in the area.

He said SMCs and PTAs could help by mobilising the communities to maintain existing structures, repair furniture and ensure that teachers are well accommodated.

They can mobilise parents to provide teaching and learning materials as well as advise them to help in enforcing the banning of pupils from patronising video centres and funerals.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at a workshop organised by the District Directorate of Education in collaboration with USAID for SMCs and PTAs at New Edubiase, Mr Twumasi Amponsah said they could send regular reports to the district education office on activities in the schools.
