Director calls for co-chain of quality education

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Nov 30, GNA – Mr Ato Essuman, Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, has called on parents to cooperate with teachers to ensure quality education for their children who are the future leaders to enhance the socio-economic advancement of the country.

Mr Essuman who was speaking at the 40th anniversary of the Breman Asikuma Secondary School at Breman Asikuma noted that quality education would be elusive without proper resources for schools.

He urged the people to hold their political activities in a lawful manner with the elections day drawing near because “we are all one people with a common destiny”.

Ms Comfort E. Akomaning, Headmistress said the tutors and students would be motivated to work hard to place the school on a high academic ladder.

She said the school lacked an assembly hall and appealed for additional classroom blocks, staff accommodation, a modern home economics block and new computer laboratory to ensure effective teaching and learning.
