Diplomatic passports to be withdrawn

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday announced the withdrawal of all Ghanaian diplomatic passports in circulation with effect from October 10.

“These passports would therefore not be valid for travelling. “A statement from the ministry said the government has issued new diplomatic passports that came into effect on September 25 this year.

The ministry has therefore asked all officials or persons who are in possession of the old diplomatic passports to surrender them to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for replacement.

The statement advised officials who qualify to possess Ghanaian diplomatic passports to apply through the Minister of Foreign Affairs to ensure prompt issuance of the new passports.
