Diamond winners killed in a motor accident

Amantem Nkwanta (E/R), Aug. 31, GNA – Kwaku Bamfo and Cosmos Akakpo, both diamond winners, were killed on the spot, when the motorbike on which they were ridding got involved in an accident at the outskirts of Amantem Nkwanta in the Birim South District of the Eastern. An eyewitness account told the Ghana News Agency that on Tuesday, August 29, the two friends were travelling from Akwatia to Akyem Oda at 1330 hours to transact business, when their motorbike collided with a “KIA” truck, travelling from the opposite direction in a sharp curve near Amantem Nkwanta.

He said the driver of the truck, Mr Samuel Oduro, who sustained minor injuries, was treated and discharged at the Akyem Oda Government Hospital.

When contacted, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sampson Agbeko, the Akyem Oda Divisional Crime Officer confirmed the incident and said the police were investigating it.
