Akim Oda, Dec. 14, GNA- The Ghana Diamond Winners Association (GDWA) has congratulated President John Agyekum Kufuor and all elected Members of Parliament (MPs) on their victory in last Tuesday’s general elections.
A statement by the association singled out Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo and Mr Kiston A. Kissi, MPs for Akim Oda and Akwatia respectively, in whose constituencies the association operates. The message signed by Mr Samuel Botwe Awah, chairman of GDWA, pledged their total commitment to President Kufuor and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and wished him well in the years ahead. “We are optimistic that you will continue with your good administration such as the provision of the needed social amenities in the rural communities to make life more meaningful to Ghanaians”, the message added.
In another development, the Agricultural Producers Council (APC) has also congratulated the President for his victory. In a congratulatory message signed by Mr Peter K. Owiredu, Chairman of the APC also commended MPs-elect.
The message wished the Almighty God would shower his blessings upon President Kufuor second-term in office.
