Development plan for Awutu-Senya East ready

Dr Nuhu Adams, Awutu-Senya East Municipal Chief Executive, has commended stakeholders for their efforts in helping the Assembly prepare a Medium Term Development Plan.

He urged them to continue to rally behind the Assembly as it executes developmental projects to help improve upon livelihood.

Dr Adams made the commendation at a day’s stakeholder’s workshop at Kasoa in the Central Region to validate the final Medium Term Development Plan for the area.

Stakeholders at the workshop included: traditional rulers, religious leaders, landlord associations in the six urban council area, civil society groups representatives, non-governmental organisations and past assembly members.

Dr Adams appealed to people in the area to participate fully in all the assembly’s forums to so that they could forge ahead as one people with a common destiny.

Mr Isaac Tettey, Municipal Planning officer, said the workshop served as a platform for stakeholders to share relevant knowledge concerning the plan.

Some of the projects captured in the plan include improvement on road and drainage networks, rehabilitation and upgrading of 12 urban roads, tarring of major access roads and the construction of two major bye-passes to reduce traffic congestion.
