Sekondi, Aug. 12, GNA- A Sekondi Magistrate’s Court on Thursday sentenced Mr. Alex Kwesi Koomson, a 43-year-old designer to one-year imprisonment for issuing a dud cheque. He pleaded guilty.

Police Chief Inspector Joseph Hedidor said the complainant Mr. Steven Abadu, who is a trader resident in Takoradi, told Koomsom in June 2003 that he wanted to travel with him to Europe.

Koomson, asked Abadu to pay 13.5 million cedis to enable him to procure documents and take him along.
