Deputy Minister worried about low performance of teachers in Ahafo

Sankore (B/A), Nov. 8, GNA – Mr. Eric Opoku, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, has expressed worry about the low performance of some teachers in public schools in the Ahafo area. He said this resulted in the abysmal out put of school children in area in the Basic Education Certificate Examination. Mr. Opoku was speaking at the inauguration of a three-classroom block, office and a store for the local Methodist Primary School, at Sankore in Asunafo South District of Brong-Ahafo. He said the work of some teachers was counter-productive and polluting the minds of school children.

Mr. Opoku appealed to individuals and organisations to contribute to the development of education in the area. He asked the people to support the assembly towards the progress of the area and said government would extend electricity to all parts of Asunafo South to facilitate development.
