Deputy Minister of Information meets state own media personnel

Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Minister of Information, has assured personnel of the state owned media of government’s determination to help them to overcome challenges they face in the discharge of their duties to the people of Ghana.

He stressed that government was aware of their problems and was trying to help them for effective delivery of media work .

Mr Ablakwa said these in a speech read on his behalf at a meeting of state owned media personnel at Koforidua on Thursday.

The media houses, included the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Information Services Department , Ghana Broadcasting Corporation , the Ghanaian Times and the Daily Graphic.

He said the Ministry of Information has compiled reports on the state owned media and would present them to the President of Ghana for the necessary action.

Mr Ablakwa commended journalists of the state owned media for their good work throughout the year under very trying conditions.
