Deputy Minister of Energy donates to Alma Mater

Ekumfi Essarkyir (C/R), Nov. 10, GNA – Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, the Deputy Minister of Energy has donated five computers, to Ekumfi T.I. Ahmaddiya Secondary School, his alma mater.

He said the gesture was his personal contribution to promote teaching and learning in the school.

The Minister said computer literacy was very important in the competitive scientific age.

In a related development, Mr Ebo Quansah, the President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), has donated three footballs and a set of Jersey to the school, as his contribution to the promotion of football.

Mr Issah Mumuni Dimbie, the Headmaster expressed gratitude for the two donations.

He appealed to the Mfantseman District Assembly, the Ghana Education Trust Fund and donor agencies to help the school to overcome an acute accommodation facing the teachers and students.
