Deputy Minister cuts sod for construction of school block at Jaway Wharf

Jaway Wharf (W/R), August 2, GNA- Madam Sophia Horner-Sam, Deputy Western Regional Minister, has advised children to make maximum use of educational opportunities created by the government.

She gave the advice when cutting the sod for the construction of an additional three-classroom block for the Islamic JSS at Jaway Wharf at the weekend.

The project estimated at 431 million cedis include a store, an office and a four-seater KVIP and it would be completed in six months. Madam Horner-Sam who was on a three-day working visit to the Jomoro District, said children who are enjoying educational facilities should study hard to achieve their aim.

She also advised children against early sex which she said could expose them to contracting HIV/AIDS.

Madam Horner-Sam said they should not rely on condoms adding that abstinence is the best option.
