Deputy Interior Minister and NADMO visit Kingdom Books warehouse fire site

Deputy Minister of the Interior Henry Quartey on behalf of the president has visited the kingdom bookshop warehouse to sympathize with the management of the kingdom books and stationery.

According to the deputy minister, there was a need to visit the fire since Kingdom Books has created a lot of jobs for Ghanaians.

He was accompanied by the deputy director in-charge of operations for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Abu Ramadan, District Chief Executive and the Assemblyman for North Dorwenya.

Henry Quartey added that investigation will be conducted as soon as possible to find the cause of the fire.

Kingdom Books is yet to officially comment on the fire incident.

On Sunday morning fire engulfed the warehouse of Kingdom Books and Stationery close of the Free Zones Enclave at Prampram in the Greater Accra region.

The fire is said to have started somewhere between 5:00 and 6:00 am.

The warehouse serves as the main storage depot of the stationery firm.
