Deportees refuse to disembark from plane

Accra, Oct. 20, GNA – About a dozen and a half deportees from Spain, suspected to be Ghanaians have refused to disembark from a plane that brought them to Accra on Monday.

The deportees had been in the plane on the tarmac since the special Spanish flight touched down at the Kotoka International Airport at noon, aviation officials told Reporters.

Ghanaian Immigration Officials have declined to give any details about the flight and the passengers, saying they could only do that upon getting “clearance from the authorities.”

The Officials, however, said they were taking steps to resolve the impasse.
