Communities in the Aver-Avenor constituency of the Volta Region have held fund-raising rallied to round off their Denyaza festival. They are Gefia, Lume-Avete Dzogadze and Dzuepe. The others are Horti, Agormu-Kporkplote and Alililfedo. Addressing the people, the MP for the area, Mr. Doe Adzaho, advised them to initiate self-help projects to improve their living conditions. He said the government will give more assistance to communities which help themselves. Mr. Adzaho disclosed that the government voted e million cedis towards the completion of a school project. Mr. Adzaho also donated 500 thousand cedis each to the people of Dzogadze, Duepe and Alifedo towards the consturction of bore-holes.
