Some constituents of Bodi have hit the streets to demand immediate rehabilitation of a 2-mile road in the constituency.
The residents of Sefwi Kwafukaa in the Bodi District of the Western Region claim the road has been abandoned by the Member of Parliament, Sampson Ahi, and the District Chief Executive, Solomon Fuachie. The road is from Kwafukaa to Suiano.
According to the organizer of Wednesday’s demonstration, Emmanuel Agyare, the road has been abandoned for the past four years.
He said the road links to the only major medical center in the district at Suaino. The protesters held placards some of which read ‘DCE, Ohh Aden’ and ‘Hon MP Are you there?’ to register their anger. They presented a petition to the DCE.
