Delta Force sees growth despite legal issues; opens recruitment of female members

Despite facing a litany of issues, both legal and otherwise, it seems the pro-New Patriotic Party vigilante group, Delta Force is only growing in numbers.

According to a report my MyNewsGH, the vigilante group was now recruiting females into their ranks.

The Chairman of the vigilante group, one Saliu Musah, was reportedly speaking on the Kumasi-based radio station, Abusua FM, when he revealed that the group had opened applications for more female members.

“We even have women among us and we are registering more women to help us do party work”, Saliu said, indicating that they wanted to recruit more members to help with party (NPP) work. “We will make sure we take the Asawasi seat from Muntaka in 2020, Inshallah”, he revealed.

The vigilante leader also dispel reports that the group was not recognised by the NPP.

Saliu stated that, “…we are part of NPP. We work for the NPP party”.

He noted that the Delta Force was very instrumental in Nana Akufo-Addo’s rise to becoming the president of Ghana.

The vigilante group has been at the center of a public scandal after member of the Delta Force allegedly attacked Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator George Adjei.

Subsequent events saw some members of the group remanded for “attacking a judge” and “disrupting court proceedings”.

However, the 8 members who were arrested in relations to the crimes were released on a “lack of evidence” basis.
