Delta Force members are ‘good boys’ – Chairman Wontumi

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako has defended members of an alleged NPP vigilante group called the Delta Force.

Members of the Delta Force Thursday April 6, 2017 raided a Kumasi Circuit Court where they reportedly defied orders and freed 13 members of the group who were on remand by the court.

This lawlessness from the group have been condemned by the government, groups and individuals.

But Chairman Wontumi in an interview on Accra based Okay FM Friday morning, said members of the group freed their colleagues because they were afraid for their lives.

According to him, the Delta force members are “Very good boys” who could defend their case in court.

Meanwhile, reports coming in suggest the accused persons have turned themselves in to the police.
